Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy covers the KisanWorks farmer app (Android and web), the partner consoles and this website, all operated by TERRANEXIS AI Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad, India, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023.
01What we collect
Account: your mobile number, verified by a one-time SMS code. We never see or store a password.
Farm profile: the name, village, mandal, district, land size and crops you give us during onboarding, and any details you add later.
Voice and chat: the questions you speak or type, the voice recordings and the answers you receive, so your conversation history stays available to you.
Photos: pictures you send to the Crop Doctor or Soil Doctor, and the diagnosis produced from them.
Location: with your permission, your device location is used once to suggest your district; it is not tracked in the background.
Status posts: text, photos or voice notes you choose to post on the Status tab. Other KisanWorks farmers can see them, with your name, for 24 hours.
Reports and feedback: when you use "Report a problem", your voice note or message together with the app version, phone model, Android version and the app's recent error messages; your thumbs up or down on answers; and Status posts you report or farmers you block, so our team can review them.
Usage: which features you use and whether voice input worked, to fix problems. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
02Why we use it
To answer your farming questions in your language, remember your farm so advice fits your crops and district, connect you — only when you ask — with input suppliers, buyers and FPOs, send you the one-time login code, keep the Status tab safe by reviewing reported posts, fix the problems you report, and improve the service for farmers in your community. We do not sell your data and do not show advertising.
03Who processes it
Google Cloud (Gemini, Speech and Text-to-Speech): understands your questions, photos and voice and produces the answers. Requests go through our own servers; Google processes them to provide the service to us.
Supabase: hosts our database and files with encryption at rest and in transit.
MSG91 (Walkover Web Solutions): delivers the login SMS to your number.
Partners you choose: if you place an order or list produce, the details needed for that transaction are shared with that supplier, buyer or FPO — and only with them.
Dealers, when you ask for offers: if you tap “Get offers from dealers” and agree, your name, phone number and village are shared with at most 3 dealers of that kind in your district whom KisanWorks has verified, so they can call you with offers. The app tells you who received your number; you can stop sharing any time under “My requests”, and dealers lose access after you stop or after 90 days. Dealers may use your number only for what you asked for — never to sell or pass on. Offers dealers publish in the app reach you without your data being shared; if you call them, they see your number like any phone call.
Other farmers: see only what you post on the Status tab, with your name. They never see your phone number, land details or chats.
04Your choices and rights
See and edit your profile at any time from the Profile page in the app.
Withdraw microphone, camera or location permission from your phone settings; the related feature stops, the rest keeps working.
Delete your account and data from the Profile page in the app, or by request from our account deletion page if you no longer have the app.
Ask us what we hold about you, or raise a concern, at support@kisanworks.com. We reply within 7 days.
05How long we keep it
Your data stays for as long as your account exists. Status posts are shown to other farmers for 24 hours, then kept only with your account so reported posts can be reviewed. When you delete the account, your profile, login, chats, recordings, photos, diagnoses, Status posts, problem reports, ratings, and the reports and blocks you made are removed immediately and leave our backups within 30 days. Records that another party relies on — a completed sale or a payout — are kept without your name, number or profile link, so they can no longer identify you.
06Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, every database table is protected so that a farmer can only reach their own records, and staff access is limited to approved, named accounts. The app keeps a local copy of your recent conversation so it works in low-connectivity areas; deleting the app removes that copy.
07Children
KisanWorks is meant for adult farmers and agri-partners. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has registered, write to us and we will remove the account.
